The Chiron Centre declines government funding. Every Chiron Centre ought to be fully self-supporting. Our finances are inspired by the Twelve Traditions written by Alcoholics Anonymous. The following list is an adaptation
The Twelve Traditions
- Our common welfare should come first; personal healing depends upon the Chiron Centre unity.
- For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority — a loving God, as this Power may be expressed through our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.
- The only requirement for Chiron Centre membership is the promotion of universal brotherhood.
- Each Chiron group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or Chiron Centre as a whole.
- Each group has but one primary purpose — universal brotherhood.
- A Chiron Centre group or Chiron Centre as a whole ought never endorse, finance, or lend the Chiron Centre name to any related facility our outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, or prestige divert us from our primary purpose.
- Every Chiron Centre group ought to be fully self supporting, declining outside contributions.
- Chiron Centres should remain forever non professional, but our service centres may employ special male workers.
- Chiron Centres as such ought never to be organised; but we may create service boards or committees of men directly responsible to those they serve.
- The Chiron Centre has no opinion on outside issues; hence the Chiron Centre name ought never to be drawn into public controversy.
- Our public relations policy is based upon attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of the internet, press, radio, T.V., film, and other public media. We need to guard with special care the anonymity of all fellow Chiron Centre members.
- Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.
